Keeping your truck and your truck drivers safe – and training drivers in safe driving – can get you a break on your taxes and low taxes are a great thing. Tax breaks are given for GPS navigation devices and other technology. Drivers are safer with GPS because they aren’t just for mapping out routes. They also tell them of road closings and rule changes, so that they can be prepared for them instead of driving up on something that might be a problem.
In addition there is technology available to warn drivers about breaking trouble and alert them if they start drifitng into other lanes. We all know there are plenty of times when these types of things happen thats what makes these devices worthwhile.
Brakes are overheating and failing all too often and they can be rendered less effective if the truck is overloaded. Furthermoretired or distracted truckers can easily drift into another lane or onto the shoulder of the road. These things cause accidents and if they can be avoided it will reduce the risk of a collision for the trucker and for anyone driving around that trucker.
